Connect Apple Pay
Automatically log every payment you make with Apple Pay using an iPhone shortcut: it runs on its own the moment you pay and sends Finvot the amount, merchant, and card.
What you need
- iPhone with the Shortcuts app (comes pre-installed).
- Apple Pay set up in your Wallet.
- The latest version of the Finvot app.
⌛ Estimated time: 3-5 minutes · One-time setup.
100% under your control
Finvot has no access to your Apple Pay. You create and control the shortcut, only the information you choose is sent, and you can turn it off at any time.
Step 1 · Create a new automation
Open the Shortcuts app on your iPhone
Go to Automations → tap + or New
Search for “Transaction” as trigger (on iOS 26+ it may appear as “Wallet”)
Leave all cards and categories selected
Scroll down and change to “Run Immediately” — without this, iOS will ask you before every log
Tap “Next”
Step 2 · Add the Finvot action
Choose “Create new shortcut”
In Search actions, search for “Finvot”
Select “Finvot - Apple Pay”
If "Finvot" doesn't appear, make sure you have the latest app version.
Step 3 · Assign the variables
Tap on the “Monto” field
In the bar above the keyboard, scroll right and select “Shortcut Input”
Tap the blue text “Shortcut Input” and choose “Amount”
Repeat for “Comercio” → Merchant and “Tarjeta” → Card or pass
Step 4 · Verify it works
In the shortcut, tap the “Play” button (bottom right)
You should see “Transaction Registered”
Return to Finvot and tap “Verify configuration” (Profile → Automate → Apple Pay)
All set! 🎉
From now on, every payment you make with Apple Pay is logged in Finvot on its own, with amount, merchant, and card.
Trouble?
- "Test not detected" when verifying → make a real purchase with Apple Pay, or run the shortcut again with Play and verify once more.
- The "Finvot - Apple Pay" action doesn't appear → update the Finvot app from the App Store and restart the Shortcuts app.
