Expenses via WhatsApp
Link your WhatsApp to Finvot once and log expenses without opening the app. Message it like you'd message a friend:
- Text 💬 — "Bought a burger for 20k" (understands shorthand like 20k)
- Photo 📷 — a receipt, bill, or transfer screen
- Voice note 🎙️ — dictate the expense and you're done
AI understands the message and replies with the summary: category, amount, date, and account. Reply 1 to confirm and the transaction is logged — budget alert included if you went over.

Link your number
In the app, go to Profile → WhatsApp
You can also get there from the first-steps checklist, under "Log expenses via WhatsApp".
Tap “Link new number”
Finvot generates a verification code with its QR.
Send the code via WhatsApp
Two ways:
- Tap the button to open WhatsApp with the code pre-filled, and send it.
- Or scan the QR from the phone you want to link.
Done — your number is verified
When Finvot receives your message with the code, the number is linked and you can start logging expenses.
Send the code from the right number
The code must be sent from the number you want to link. If you send it from another WhatsApp, that other number will be linked instead.
The code expires
If the verification code expires before you send it, generate a new one from the same screen.
Multiple numbers and limits
- You can link more than one number (for example, your partner's or an employee's) and label them to tell them apart.
- The number of linked phones and monthly messages depends on your plan. If you hit the limit, the app lets you know with an option to upgrade.
