Setup
Automatic forwarding lets Finvot receive the transaction alerts your bank sends to your email, and turn them automatically into transactions inside your dashboard — with nothing to log by hand.
Start the process
The setup assistant (where you see your unique alias and verify each step) opens in two ways:
- From a computer (recommended): go to app.finvot.app/email-forwarding — since the setup happens in your computer's browser, this is the most direct path.
- From the app: Profile → Automate → Email. From there you can also email yourself the instructions to continue on the computer.
Choose your email provider
With the assistant open, follow the guide that matches the inbox where you receive your bank notifications. This setup is done once and takes about 5 minutes.
Create a forwarding rule in Outlook web for your bank alerts.
AbrirConfirm forwarding and create a filter in Gmail for your bank emails.
AbrirImportant
This setup can only be done from a computer (laptop or desktop) using a web browser. It cannot be done from phones or mobile apps (Gmail app, Outlook app, etc.).
Set up forwarding but the transaction never arrived?
Check these three things, in order:
- Did the alert reach your email? If the bank didn't send the notification email, there's nothing to forward. Make sure transaction alerts are enabled with your bank.
- Does the filter point to the right sender? Open the alert email and compare the sender's exact address with the one you used in your Gmail or Outlook filter. Some banks use several different addresses.
- Was forwarding confirmed? Go back to your provider's guide and verify you completed every step, including confirming the alias.
